The Day After....

Have you ever noticed that like at the oscars everyone is getting compliments on their dress or tux choice on their shoes and jewelry choices and its all nice that day but the next morning is when the fangs come out, the claws are out and we find out what people really think. Its kinda how I feel today about the inauguration. Its just being respectful and honoring people on their speical day but being honest the day after.
I surely would like to see a President put his money where his mouth is, I mean really, inauguraition was a multi million dollar even and sure donations were part of it but what if we took all that money and applied it to our national debt, or built homes for the homeless. What if the president asked Aretha to come to the White House sing on television for all to see and he took his oath on television and he pushed aside all the TAH DAHS!!!!! I would see a president who truly wants the best for his country. What do I say but not really do???? Lets put our money where our mouths are, lets put our energy to whats in our hearts!!!

In a time where disasters are taking place yearly and with an economy that is struggling, a nation that has been at war for years. All we can do is pray! Pray that God lead our nations leaders to make wise choices, choices of honer, integrity, and choices that will heal our struggling economy. We need to pray that God does bless America, that God bring all nations together as one. That we are United as a country but we are also united as humans all living in our temporary homes.

God please Bless our country, please unite us as one, and make it known that you are our leader and that you guide the man who leads our country be the whisper in his ear, be his peace when he has decisions to make, be his eyes so that he may see the way you see and be his feet so that he may take steps in your direction. Lead our Country through him.

Dare to be DIFFERENT!

It was a conversation I had with my parents a couple weeks ago that really got me thinking. I dont remember our exact words but for the most part my father was telling me that I was making noise and people were unhappy about it. So to give you a little background there has been some "family issues" and I decided a couple months ago to tell a family memeber close to me how she has hurt me and how her demeanor (sp?) has hurt others as well. I said it kindly and emtionally I was hurt. My father has always been the peace maker, which by no means is a bad thing but somtimes we have to ruffle feathers and we have to make waves and all done with compassion. I started thinking as I was driving home about all the important people in history that have really marked who we are as a country today, even going back to Bible days. I started thinking about Rosa Parks and Martin Luther Kind and well the 12 disciples and I started thinking how when they raised their voices and stepped forward to make change they didnt have many people supporting them they made lots of people angry, they made waves and ruffled feathers and I beagn to think that although my dad is a brilliant man and a great peace maker that also I like my mother are Change makers, we are leaders, we stand up for what we believe we back it with our voices and not just our silent vote. When we dont agree with some things we let people know and not in a negitive way we just share our opinion. After all its easy to fit in to be part of the crowd, if you make a mistake there is less chance of people seeing but if you dare to be different your a loaner at times, people wait for you to fail, to fall, to slip up but change is made when your willing to let people talk, to not fit in to dare to be different and to be persecuted by not only your enemies but at times friends and family! Dare to be Different!!!

Time to Pray and Study his word!

I have no where else to turn and while I should have turned to him first, I turned to friends. But I pray God that you please heal hearts that have been broken, mend relationships that messy and help me to forgive those who have hurt me and those who persecute me. I pray that you help them find peace and abundance in you, help my enemies to find rest in their lives and lead them away from their attacks. I pray for healing in those who are sick. I know you answer our prayers. Thank you!

Psalms 17:6-12
I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God
Bend down and listen as I pray.
Show me your unfailin love in wonderful ways.
By your mighty power you rescue those
who seek refuge from their enemies.
gaurd me as you would Gaurd your own eyes.

Protect me from wicked people who attack me,
from murderous enemies who surround me.

"You have heard the law that says, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say love your enemies, Pray for those who persecute you! In that way you will be acting as true children of your Father in Heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends his rain on the just and unjust alike. If you love only those who love you , What reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that. If you kind only to your friends how diffent is that from everyone else? Even Pagens do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your father in heaven is perfect.

I need Peace~

why is pouring out your heaert and soul on paper seem so much more easier and more expressive, is it because it's like having a conversation with yourself and after all you know you, inside and out! My life has been everything but perfect, simple and easy and yet when I share my life and my stories on paper or my blogs you find nothing but the truth, at it rawest. For the most part I am happy I love my life I have two beautiful daughters and a Great boyfriend. I am healthy and have many family and friends who love me. But I spend too much time on those who dont like me, who persecute me, who look down and me and want nothing but the worst for me. I dont like it, they dont define me. I am a people person and I truly wish the best for all but what is it that I cant get past for those who against me, judge me, persecute me, belittle me?? Why do I let it bother me and beat me up??? I am sooo tired of the conflict with my daughters fathers Fiance. It wears me out and yet I dont do anything or respond to her, I am allowing her words to beat me up. All I want is the best for my daughter, I just want everyone to get along. Please pray for peace in my situation... sure everyone may not ever get along and things may never be mended but I just want peace I want all the attacking to come to an end. Its tiring me and wearing me out!
