Finding Christ... feeling lost...

"Its been a long night and I am weary. Its been a long time and I am hungry." Misty Edwards from her song I am yours. This part of the song is in the beginning of the song and I cant help but draw into those two sentences... I have a friend who sent me a message this morning on facebook and I cant help but think of all the people who are feeling the way she does at this time or the weary, hungry to know him more, hungry to "find" him again. My friend whom I haven't spoken to in over 10 years except for common likes or little comments on facebook because she lives far from me sent me this message "It seems I have lost any faith I have ever had I'm not sure how to get it back anymore" I had to pause before I answered because I wanted to say the right things I wanted encourage her, she was reaching out and she yearned for this relationship with Christ and desired to have it back. So I gave her some good devotional apps, that I use and some worship links but my job is now to pray. But it lead me to seek what the bible says when we are hungry for more of him and to know him. The bible says in John 6:35 Jesus replied "I AM the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again." Now I am by no means a master at reading the bible, in fact I am still learning my style of how I study and learn but what this says is if we call to him, we seek him he will be there, he is there, he is always there, we will never go without him. The Bible then goes to say in John 4:14 "But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again.". When we long for Him he is there, we cry out to him he is there. Are we willing to listen? So then what does the bible say about being weary, in Matthew 11:25 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. When it feels like our world is falling apart, times get tough, we stray away from Christ we grow in both findings of being weary and hungry Christ tells us COME TO ME, I HAVE WHAT YOU NEED, YOU WILL FIND REST IN ME, I WILL GIVE YOU PEACE, I WILL OVERFLOW YOUR SOUL WITH JOY, I GOT YOUR BACK!!! Deuteronomy 4:29 But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you WILL find him. I am a big person into worship and so I will attach these two songs but the worship song that this message leads me to is "The more I seek You" Kari Jobe. Find rest in the Lord. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rh477W6JuI Misty Edwards I Am Yours http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NI_1YliutzA Kari Jobe The More I seek You

Plant a seed

Don't be misled - you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. (NLT) ( Galatians 6:7 ) There are paths we take in life that take us in certain directions. If you save a dollar a day, you are sure to have savings accumulated. It's easy to want to think that if we only planted a few seeds the harvest will be plentiful, such as working late nights all week and expecting to come home to a happy family. But that rarely works. Instead, you reap what you sow. Where have you planted yourself? Download this app to get your daily devotions: http://jctrois.com So this was my evening devotional and how funny that today free the car wash we did a debrief and prayed and although we saw God at work all I could think is we have planted seeds we may never know. Then here is my devotional when we draw near to God we hear him speak.

Thank you

Thank you for your blessings, thank you allowing me to serve. Thank you for finding me and my life and story important enough to use to be a servant of yours. I'm honored to be used by you. I pray you work through me in all aspects of my life. Use every part. I will do whatever it is you call me to, for how could I not after all you have done for me. I thank you for another day, for the breath you give me. Thank you for reminding me of your love and how to live showing your love.

Knowing you matter and were made with purpose

Its been a few years now that I have been trying to put together my life mess and make it a message, slowly its being put together but not in my time but in his time. It started with God working in me and healing my heart, leading me to know that I am valuable that while we are all broken he sees me perfectly and he has greater plans than my mind can dream up. So a few months ago I began to search the bible for verses that applied to me, my story and my life. So that I can sort out my mess and put it all together. So I put focus on the fact that all this I had went through from being molested at the age of 6 by neighbor boys to failed relationships, abusive relationships, drug and alcohol addictions and giving my body up for free to beginning to know that this was not all in vain and that I was made for a purpose and not to be a ragdoll of any man that walked into my life. I had purpose!!! So I wanted to see what the bible had to say so I began to look up scripture and this is what I found. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Acts 26:16 But arise and stand upon your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, that I might appoint you to serve as [My] minister and to bear witness both to what you have seen of Me and to that in which I will appear to you, Proverbs 16:9 In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. Ephesians 2:1-10 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. With us celebrating the resurrection of Chirst during this season it leads me even more now than ever to realize how much I matter, would God give his only Son for someone who doesn't matter? Christ died on the cross for my sins, beat brutally all at the cost of my sins and the sins of the word and not so that I carry them with me. SO that I may live freely from the pain of my past, and so how could one go on and not submit and surrender their all and use their life to exalt his name. You must know that it doesn't matter where you have been or what you have done but that you MATTER, your life has purpose so much purpose that God gave his Son so that you may live out that PURPOSE!!

You mean you want it all....

In life we are busy and we have all OUR plans and OUR dreams and we know what we want with life. Sometimes it doesn't go our way and we pray and ask God WHY?, why God? Please God give me this, or help me here, make this work out... But do we pray to God giving it ALL to him, with no expectation because we know that his plans are better, he knows what's best. Sure it's easy to give God some of us are a little of our time. But what if you gave it all to him, what if you completely surrendered your all to him. Its not easy, I know because I was that person. I was a Christian with a personal relationship with Christ on Sunday, or when I needed him I called upon him. But did I wake up praising him, did I share his greatness and love with those around me. Was my mouth clean and were my words wise, was my thinking clear and my thoughts pure, were my actions those that were to glorify and lift him up. Surrender is to give it all, you recognize that you cannot do this alone. You allow God to step in to guide your steps to speak through you and to you. Will you give it all to him?

ready for my team mate

Father God I am not just looking for a husband but I am looking for someone who shares the passion I have for reviving and restoring the youth of Benton Harbor and then to where ever you lead us> I am looing for my team mate to join forces to show the hurt the broken and the lonely that they are loved and that they matter. I have a more clear vision than ever of what I want that Man to look like. Its a must that he desires to share the works of God in todays youth and that we can set out on our mission. We can lead in love and by example and not because we are or have ever been perfect but yet because we share that we once carried the burden of our falls and failures but then we found your mercy and grace and through you we are full, we are forgiven we are reminded that we are made perfect in your image. I want to not just find a partner but I want to draw closer to you with my partner for life and share a love like your love. Its only through you that I know how to love unconditionally and its only through you that a man will know how to love unconditionally. God I am ready for my husband I am ready to start this journey that you have set a burning passion and desire in my heart to do. To touch the lives of many and to just LOVE THEM as you have loved me. I surrender all of me to you so that the work you are doing in me is ready to receive what you have in store for me. Thank you so much for your faithfulness and for never leaving nor forsaking me. I am so blessed beyond measure because I have an amazing creator.
